Cutting-In Marks
Corners and edges appearing a different shade from the rest of the surface.
Causes
- Different spreading tendencies when corners and edges are painted with a brush
- Brush application landing thicker and looking darker
- Using colours or batch numbers with different tones
Solution
Avoid brushing all the edges before rolling; work section by section in small areas instead. Ensure the correct colourant and base combination, and take care not to mix new and stock colours.
