Technical Bulletins
View and download our technical bulletins in PDF format, covering technical data, application details and consumption rates for our products.
Which document do you need?
Four different documents are published for Silkcoat products. Use the breakdown below to find the right one quickly.
Technical Data Sheet (TDS)
Coverage, application conditions, drying times, thinning ratio and storage details for a single product. The primary document to consult before application.
Go to product documentsSafety Data Sheet (MSDS)
The 16-section material safety form: chemical composition, first aid, fire fighting, transport and disposal rules. Required for export and occupational safety files.
Go to product documentsTechnical Bulletin (Combined PDF)
A multilingual bulletin gathering the technical data of the product range in a single file. Suitable for printed use by field teams and dealers.
Download the bulletinsProduct Catalogue
The product range in photographs, with colour and texture options. Focused on product selection rather than technical data.

Multilingual Technical Bulletins
Covering the entire product range, these bulletins combine three languages in one file and are formatted for printing by field and export teams.

A short summary of what the values in the documents mean and how to interpret them on site.
- Coverage (m²/L)
- The surface area one litre of paint covers in a single coat. The figure is given for a primed, smooth surface; absorbent and textured surfaces increase consumption.
- Dry film thickness (DFT)
- The thickness in microns of the layer left on the surface once the paint has fully dried. This is the value that determines protective performance.
- Wet film thickness (WFT)
- The thickness of the wet layer at the moment of application. Measured with a comb gauge and monitored to reach the target dry thickness.
- Thinning ratio
- The maximum amount of water or thinner that may be added by volume. Exceeding it reduces opacity and adhesion.
- Touch dry
- The time needed for the surface to stop being tacky to the touch. The point at which the risk of picking up dust ends.
- Recoat interval
- The minimum time to wait after the first coat before the second can be applied. Applying too early causes blistering and marking.
- Full cure
- The time at which the film reaches its final mechanical and chemical resistance. Washing and heavy cleaning should not take place before then.
- Opacity
- The paint's power to hide the colour beneath. It determines how many coats are needed when applying a light colour over a dark base.
- Gloss level
- Surface gloss measured at 60°: matt, semi-matt, satin, gloss. The higher the gloss, the more visible any surface defect becomes.
- Application temperature
- The range the ambient and surface temperature must stay within, usually +5 °C to +35 °C. Outside these limits film formation is impaired.
- VOC (volatile organic compounds)
- The amount in g/L of organic compounds released into the air during drying. A low VOC matters for indoor air quality.
- Binder base
- The resin type forming the film — acrylic, silicone-acrylic, silicate and so on. The main determinant of substrate compatibility and durability.
About the technical documents
The questions our dealers and applicators ask most often about the documents.
The TDS explains how the product is applied and how it performs technically; the MSDS is a 16-section document covering safe handling, storage, first aid and disposal. Use the TDS for application, the MSDS for occupational safety and export files.
Every TDS and MSDS is generated in Turkish, English, French, Arabic, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish and Bulgarian. Just pick the language from the selector above the list — there is no need to change the language of the site.
Safety data sheets are published per product, and a product joins the list once its content has been verified. If the MSDS you need is not listed yet, you can request it from our technical team.
The coverage in the documents is given for a single coat on a primed, smooth surface. Absorbent render, textured surfaces, roller type, application temperature and thinning ratio all change actual consumption; we recommend allowing an extra 10-15% in your estimate.
A document is updated whenever the formulation or packaging changes. The documents here are generated from current data on every download, so if you are holding an older PDF, download it again from this page.
Yes. The PDFs here are intended for digital use; if you need a stamped and signed copy or a reference letter, send us your request through the contact form.
For additional tests such as adhesion, water vapour permeability, salt spray or compatibility with a specific substrate, write to our technical team; we will share existing test reports and arrange new testing where needed.
