Mould Growth, Condensation
Mould and condensation problems occur on interior surfaces when humidity and temperature conditions are unfavourable.
Causes
- Insufficient ventilation
- Poor water insulation on the exterior facade
- High humidity inside the room
- A large temperature gap between the interior and exterior
- Condensation forming at cold (blind) spots
Solution
Heat rooms sufficiently in winter and keep the room temperature no lower than 19°C. Ventilate rooms well and make sure walls do not get too cold. Indoor humidity should not exceed 65%. Avoid large gaps between indoor and outdoor temperatures. Use antibacterial paint on interior surfaces.
