The surface must be cleaned of all dust, dirt and oil. Blistered and old painted surfaces should be cleaned, locally puttied to remove level differences, sanded, and a clean, dry, sound surface obtained. The surface should be primed with Silkcoat Rapid Primer. Silkcoat Hammerton Paint is applied in a single coat with a spray gun, directly on metal or on surfaces primed with Silkcoat Rapid Primer, diluted 10-15% with Silkcoat Rapid Thinner
