Astımat Paint
Product Description: Asthma and Allergy friendly, very low VOC (<1g/L) content, pure acrylic binder based, water based, matte finish, first class, final coat interior paint.
Characteristics: SILKCOAT ASTIMAT paint, having a high durability and hiding power, is a respirable, health an environment friendly, first class interior paint. It is easily applicable on the surface and does not leave roller marks. Extremely washable and no color fading for many years.
Application Surfaces: After surface preparation, it can be applied on a wide range of interior surfaces such as old painted surfaces, concrete, plaster, rendering, cement board, paintable wallpaper, glass textile etc.
Technical Information: Density: 1,40 ± 0,5 (gr / ml). VOC (g/L)= <1. Application:The surface must be cleared of any oil, dirt or dust. Gloves wearing can be used to protect the skin when using the product. This paint has a high pH and allergy may arise from any substance. That is why we encourage safety despite of allergy labelling. Swollen and old painted surfaces should be rubbed and then a clean, dry and strong surface should be obtained by applying primer. Hollows and cracks should be filled with Silkcoat Acrylic Interior Putty in case of necessity. On the new and absorbent surfaces, Silkcoat Izolac should be applied. On old and synthetic painted or dirty surfaces, Silkcoat Universal Primer should be applied, and Silkcoat Putty Primer should be applied on the surfaces that has been puttied.
SILKCOAT ASTIMAT should be thinned 10-15% with clean water and applied with roller, brush or spraying in two coats. Leave 2 hours between coats depending on weather conditions. After application, tools should be cleaned with water. On new plastered surfaces, make sure that minimum 28 days passed before paint application. The paint should be mixed until it is completely homogenous before use with machine or by hand. Ambient and surface temperature should be between + 5ºC and + 35ºC during application and drying. -Glossy and glassy surfaces should be rubbed before application to obtain better adhesion on the surface.
Storage: Can be stored for at least 1 year without opening the product container in a cool, clean and dry environment without exposure to direct sunlight.
Packaging: 15 L, 7.5 L, 2.5 L PE Bucket. P.s.: This product has been tinting using pure and inorganic pigments in accordance with the label of the Danish Asthma-Allergy Association. It already tinted with necessary colored pigments as ready-use and does not need add extra pigments. If anything is added to the paint (e.g. extra tint) the product is no longer allergy labelled.
