Features

Arteco enables creative wall and interior designs and creates antique and serene spaces thanks to its aged decorative effects. It allows multiple colors to be applied in layers. Due to its water-based structure, it is harmless to human health and the environment

Application Areas

Arteco can be applied on a wide variety of old painted interior surfaces such as concrete, plaster, rough plaster, betopan, glass textile surfaces, and paintable wallpaper

Application Instructions

The application surface must be free from all dust, dirt, and oil. After lightly leveling blistered and old painted surfaces, a clean, dry, and sound surface should be obtained. If the surface is not smooth, it must be leveled with Silkcoat Interior Acrylic Putty before Arteco application. If the surface has been leveled with gypsum plaster, Silkcoat Izolac should be applied before Arteco. On smooth, old painted, dirty, or synthetic painted surfaces, Silkcoat Universal Primer or Silkcoat Putty Primer should be applied. After the primer has dried, Arteco is applied to the surface in two coats. A minimum of 2 hours should be allowed between coats. Arteco is applied to an area of 10–20 m² using a roller or brush, then patterns are created using a sponge. Different tools may be used to obtain various textures and decorative effects. Other surfaces should be completed progressively in the same manner. To achieve a misty or cloudy appearance, patterned Arteco is applied with a clean sponge close to the base layer. Tools must be cleaned immediately after application. Arteco must be mixed thoroughly until completely homogeneous before use. During application and drying, ambient and surface temperatures should be between +5°C and +35°C. If application is to be carried out on very glossy or glassy surfaces, the surface should first be roughened to ensure better adhesion
