Features

Travertino offers a stone-like appearance, presenting an aged yet modern quality and vibrant stone wall effect. It also allows for various decorative pattern applications. Thanks to its water-based structure, it is harmless to human health and the environment

Application Areas

Can be applied on all properly prepared painted interior surfaces such as concrete, plaster, rough plaster, and betopan

Application Instructions

The surface to be applied must be cleaned of all dust, dirt, and oil. After lightly sanding all blistered and old painted surfaces, obtain a clean, dry, and sound surface. If necessary, surface defects and cracks should be repaired with Silkcoat Interior Acrylic Putty. For the first coat, dilute Travertino with 20–25% water in a quantity sufficient for the surface and mix until homogeneous. Apply Travertino to the entire surface using a trowel. After leveling the surface with the trowel, allow the first coat to dry for 1 day. Before starting the second coat, moisten the surface with water using a roller. Once a dry surface is obtained, apply the second coat again with a trowel. As the second coat begins to set, create linear grooves on the surface using the reverse side of the trowel. After sufficient grooves are formed, smooth the surface again with the trowel and allow it to dry for another day. On the third day, moisten the surface again with water using a roller. Before full curing, apply the final coat, Silkcoat Arteco, diluted by 25–30%, using special application equipment. Travertino must be mixed thoroughly until completely homogeneous before use. Dilute only the amount of Travertino required for each coat, as the product is cement based and may set. During application and drying, ambient and surface temperatures should be between +5°C and +35°C. For very glossy or glassy surfaces, lightly sand the surface beforehand to create a sound substrate and improve adhesion
