Features

Thanks to its pearlescent structure, Velvetto offers a special pearl-like semi-gloss and matte velvety appearance and allows for various decorative pattern applications. Its water-based structure is harmless to human health and the environment

Application Areas

Can be applied on all properly prepared old painted interior surfaces such as concrete, plaster, rough plaster, betopan, glass textile surfaces, and paintable wallpaper

Application Instructions

The surface to be applied must be cleaned of all dust, dirt, and oil. After lightly sanding all blistered and old painted surfaces, a clean, dry, and sound surface should be obtained. If necessary, surface defects and cracks should be repaired with Silkcoat Interior Acrylic Putty. If the surface has been leveled with gypsum plaster, apply Silkcoat Izolac before Silkomatt. On old painted, dirty, or synthetic painted surfaces, apply Silkcoat Universal Primer; on puttied surfaces, apply Silkcoat Putty Primer. As a base coat, Silkomatt in the same color as Velvetto is applied in a single coat. Velvetto is then applied to the surface using a roller. Before full drying occurs, create patterns with circular movements using a special trowel. Depending on weather conditions, allow the surface to dry for 4–6 hours. After the first coat has dried, apply the second coat of Velvetto in a thin layer using a decorative trowel or roller. Immediately after application, without waiting for drying, create circular patterns on the surface using a special trowel. After application, tools should be cleaned immediately with water. Before use, the paint must be mixed thoroughly until completely homogeneous. During application and drying, ambient and surface temperatures should be between +5°C and +35°C. For very glossy or glassy surfaces, lightly sand the surface beforehand to ensure better adhesion

Storage

Can be stored for a minimum of 2 years in a cool, clean, and dry environment, protected from direct sunlight, provided the container remains unopened
