Features

Contributing to heat and sound insulation, the Prestige Series Silk Plaster is anti-static and dust-repellent. Besides being easy to apply, its water-based structure is harmless to human health and the environment. It is odorless and breathable

Application Areas

Can be applied to fine plaster, gypsum plaster, plasterboard, wooden and non-alkaline surfaces. Not applied to glass, brick, metal surfaces, exteriors or wet substrates

Application Instructions

The surface must be cleaned of all dust, dirt and oil. After lightly sanding blistered and old painted surfaces, obtain a clean, dry and sound surface. Apply Silkcoat Primer first to newly plastered surfaces. On old painted, dirty or damp surfaces, thoroughly clean paint, dirt and soot residues; apply Silkcoat Primer after SX 2000 Varnish. Once the primer dries, silk plaster application can begin. Empty the bag contents into a container with about 6 L of water and knead thoroughly; more water may be added depending on climate and application conditions. After resting the prepared material for at least 20 minutes, apply with a plastic trowel using the plastering technique at an average thickness of 1 mm. Clean tools immediately with water. In areas with high deformation, adding one glass of Silkcoat SX 2000 varnish per bag before kneading is recommended. Do not leave the surface half-finished during application. Can be applied by plastic trowel or spray gun. On newly plastered surfaces, wait at least 28 days. During application and drying, ambient and surface temperatures should be between +5°C and +35°C
